When deciding where to stay, it is hard to go past the Narromine Tourist Park.  Its in a great location to base yourself, and visit the many local and surrounding tourist destinations. Narrromine is only 30 minutes from Dubbo.

The Narromine Museum, Aero Club and Gliding Club are located 50 metres from the Narromine Tourist Park.

When in Narromine a visit to the local Narromine Aviation Museum is is at the top of the list.  The Museum brings to life the aviation story of Narromine.  In its prime, many pilots learnt to fly here and has had some very famous aviators grace the town with their presence. The museum is open Wednesday to Monday from 10am to 5.00pm, and is manned by local volunteers who would love to see you.  www.narromineaviationmuseum.org.au

Narromine is also home of the Wright Flyer replica.  Contact the museum to view.

On weekends the Narromine Gliding operates and joy flights are available in gliders.  This is a terrific experience. Contact the club on www.narromineglidingclub.com.au for any information regarding gliding.  Each Sunday night the gliding club has a bbq. This is top food at a top price and you are welcome to attend.

Joyflights in ultralights are also available.

Narromine Aero Club is the oldest operating Aero club in Australia, and is open Friday and Saturday nights.  It has cold beer and a warm meal, overlooking the airfield.

Narromine has some interesting sites to visit showcasing some of its versatile soils, growing top quality produce. These include the Narromine Iris Farm, which is located 5kms from Narromine on the Parkes Road and has over 800 different tall bearded Iris on display. It is closed on Saturdays. www.narromineirisfarm.com.au.  The lime farm is the largest privately owned orchard in Australia, with a cafe that also sells lime products. 

Edgerton nursery is well worth a visit.  It is set in lovely surrounds and sells a large selection of trees, shrubs, seedlings, roses, pots and a large range of gifts.

Narromine Craft shop sells local hand made products.  It is a good place to find the home made pickles, cakes, bags, rugs, clothes, you name it, its there.

Narromine is a top fishing spot with many reserves.  Fish include murray cod, yellow belly.  The Macquarie River is very picturesque, with its sprawling willows and huge gum trees.

Narromines newest tourist site is Andonbel Alpaca Farm and coffee shop. Call out and visit Kym and Lindsay Edmunds, have a coffee and delicious home cooked meal in the airconditioned train. Learn about the Alpaca. Souvenirs and Alpaca clothing are also available.  They are open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm and on Sunday's 9am to 4pm for all day breakfast. Narromine is an agricultural town and grows many crops including citrus, cotton and cereal crops and a large native tree farm.
